Our Mission

Inspiration for the establishment of Way Treatment Center arose from Dr. Van Horn's desire to assist adults, adolescents, and families heal their emotional wounds and achieve a deeper and more intimate experience of God's peace, joy and love. As a Christian psychiatrist, Dr. Van Horn has spent the last 30 years treating people with both medication and therapy empowering them to overcome neuropsychiatric medical issues as well as heal the deep emotional issues underlying their suffering .

It is very difficult to find treatment in the psychiatric field where you can be respected for and treated within the framework of your faith. Our mission at the Way Treatment Center is to insure you do.

In 1991 Dr. Van Horn opened his first Christian-based deep emotional healing program, which was very successful. For the next 11 years, his work was teaching people how to maximize their experience of God‘s love in their marriages and their families, as well as heal the emotional pain of losses and trauma during their life. in 2002 he changed his focus and did a fellowship in geriatric neuropsychiatry and became a specialist on memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease. Since that time he has intermittently been involved in Christian-based emotional healing and relationship building as well as treated thousands of patients with memory loss.

As much as he loves helping families with memory issues, and Alzheimer’s disease, his true passion is helping people who have Christ in their life, learn how to experience the fruits of their salvation and his peace joy, and love, despite whatever is happened to them in the past or present.
